Michael Neale is an analogue photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand.  He shoots primarily medium format and 35mm film, preferring film over digital for it's intuitive feeling and the slower, more focused approach it brings to his photography.

After two years of living in London and travelling Europe, Michael returned home in 2017 where he is now focusing on long term projects exploring small town New Zealand; areas that have been heavily effected by growing urbanisation, but where community, tradition and history still play a key role in the towns, and their residents daily life.
