Changes to the management and protection of kauri for the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park have been proposed and feedback received.

A public consultation meeting for kauri dieback protection plans will be held on the 4th of September in Katikati, led by MPI and supported by DOC. 

These meetings are open to everyone and are an opportunity to meet and talk to the Kauri Dieback Programme team that are developing the National Pest Management Plan for kauri. We’ll let you know what we have in the plan so far. We’ll also talk about ideas for the management agency that will implement the plan and the draft refreshed strategy for managing kauri dieback disease.
