Wrestling went down a treat with a big crowd at Te Aroha A&P Show last Saturday.
Show society president Gaylene Lennard said on Monday that they were very happy overall with the event, which came in above budget. "It was a great success." While gate numbers were not known when this edition went to press, Ms Lennard said it was well up on last year “and that was a good year anyway".
The home industries section was again well supported, while Ms Lennard said entries overall in the equestrian and cattle sections were "on a par" with past years. She said the town really got behind the show this year, which is a positive sign for its future. "We've already started planning for next year. Onward and upward. Bigger and better."
